Introducing our forever world: Evercraft Infinity

Evercraft Infinity is our new group “forever world”. A forever world in Minecraft is the concept of starting a world in Minecraft, and playing that for the rest of your life. Never deleting the world, trimming chunks, or removing old builds. Every block is a living history that changes little by little over time.

To achieve our goal of a long-lasting world, Infinity differs in a few key areas from the main Realm.

Self-Hosted

To avoid the potential issues associated with hosting on a Realm or 3rd-party server, we’ve opted to host Infinity on local hardware. This gives us 100% control over backups, updates, and more; so we can take snapshots as often as we wish, and choose to skip over potentially world-corrupting updates.

Limited Scope

For optimum “forward-compatibility” Infinity’s overall scope is limited. Since every component you add to a system risks breaking with each major update, limiting any additional components, limits risk. With that being said, Infinity will have very few add-ons, plugins, or other customization, and runs vanilla BDS.

Invite Only

To avoid the need for any active moderation, Infinity is invite only. Members of the Discord who are active, whitelisted on the main Realm, and participate in voice chat are most likely to receive an invite.
